A chaotic stampede unfolded at the Sarada Park Durga Puja pandal in north Kolkata due to a crowd surge, leading to at least 17 deaths and 15 injuries. Emergency services transported the injured to Calcutta Medical College and Hospital for immediate medical assistance.
